CANNON FALLS, Minn., February 4, 2025 –

Through hell, highwater, and invisible electromagnetic waves that toil with valuable electronic assets – military, aerospace, healthcare, and many other industries, can now turn to the new GemShield RF™ EMI-Shielded case to safely transport sensitive electronics.

RoboRack® Half Rack Cases, manufactured by Gemstar Manufacturing, now come with the option to include the GemShield RF EMI Shielding Liner by V Technical Textiles, Inc. (VTT). The case is ideal for transporting sensitive electronics and maintaining data integrity.

In modern times, many high-powered electric sources – including mobile networks and radio frequencies – can emit electromagnetic waves that interfere with sensitive equipment. EMI Shielding protects electronic assets from being compromised by this interference.

When sealed, the GemShield RF EMI Shielding Liner can attenuate up to 85 dB in the frequency range of 30MHz to 18GHz. The EMI Shielding Liner is tested and verified to meet or exceed IEEE 299 and MIL-STD-285, the U.S. military standard for the effectiveness of EMI shielding. Berry Compliant options are available. The GemShield RF EMI Shielding Liner is fully customizable to any Gemstar® case.

“The partnership between Gemstar and VTT is a collaboration of the highest caliber,” said Mark Hedin, President of Gemstar Manufacturing. “With Gemstar’s military-grade durability and VTT’s elite EMI Shielding technology, valuable electronic assets could not be in any better hands.”

This is Gemstar and VTT’s first product collaboration. NASA, Boeing, and SpaceX are just three of the many prolific organizations that trust VTT to meet the industry’s highest standards. Textiles by VTT are plated using a globally unique metallization process, optimizing shielding performance and durability. Its portfolio of metalized fabrics, fasteners, and notions is unparalleled. The company’s 50+ years of experience support its extensive custom manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise.

“The partnership between Gemstar Manufacturing and V Technical Textiles, Inc. represents a significant milestone for both companies and the industry as a whole,” said Shawn DeCook, Chief Operating Officer of V Technical Textiles. “By combining Gemstar’s military-grade durability with VTT’s elite EMI shielding technology, we are setting a new standard for protecting valuable electronic assets.”

“This collaboration not only enhances the capabilities of our products but also underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence,” continued DeCook. “Together, we are poised to make a substantial impact across various sectors, including military, aerospace, and healthcare, by providing unparalleled protection against electromagnetic interference.”
